MISSION STATEMENT

All Stars ABC is a 501(c)(3) tax exempt non profit organization, whose mission is to provide high quality, character-building athletic and educational experiences for boys and girls grades K-12. All Stars ABC is an official affiliate organization of the Jr. NBA, and partner with the Orlando Magic.   All Stars ABC is also an official chapter of the National Alliance of Youth Sports (NAYS).  The organization is committed to academic excellence and its goals are to have our students shine bright both in the classroom and on the court.  We require all of our student athletes to have a minimum of a 3.0 GPA; if they do not, we encourage them to receive tutoring.  We believe firmly that academics must take precedence over athletics

Biography

 

Hashi is a practicing attorney and certified teacher licensed in Florida.  She was voted Rookie Teacher of the Year and Tutor of the Year while teaching in Miami Dade County and is experienced and passionate about educating today’s youth.  Hashi grew up in Valparaiso, Indiana attending Valparaiso High School.  She later attended Loyola University Chicago where she obtained her bachelor's degree in Psychology and University of Miami where she obtained her JD/MBA.  Hashi handles all of the executive decisions regarding All Stars ABC legal and financial actions.

 

Hashi is based in Orlando, Florida where she lives with her husband, 4 year old son, and their dog, Lotus, who was a stray dog they rescued from Puerto Rico in 2008.

Biography

 

Coach Richards is a Certified Sports Administrator with the National Youth Sports Administrators Association (NYSAA) and a member of the National Youth Sports Coaches Alliance (NYSCA). Richards is an internationally known professional basketball player who played in the United States and over 30 countries for fourteen years.  His talents enabled him to receive a full athletic scholarship to Loyola University Chicago where he graduated with a bachelor's degree in History.  An innate love for learning led Richards to obtain his Masters of Educational Leadership in 2012.  

 

Having played and lived as a professional basketball player overseas provided Richards with a cultural awareness and flexibility across a wide range of subjects.  He has been blessed with the opportunity to meet inspiring people from all over the world and experience places and things many of us only dream about. These experiences have encouraged him to give back to his family, community, and the world that what was so generously bestowed upon to him.  Richards' philosophy is that basketball and all sports are a means to an end. There is value in sports and the life lessons learned from developing the discipline needed to perform in competition. Coach Richie hopes to attract youth with basketball and other sports, and use this platform teach children life lessons, and encourage personal growth and educational development.

 

Since retiring from playing basketball after the birth of his son, Coach Richie is an in demand coach/mentor and has travelled the world coaching and teaching basketball skills. Coach Richie has given dozens of motivational speeches and basketball workshops to encourage and inspire our youth.  Most recently Coach Richie had the pleasure of working with the NBA in India as part of Reliance Foundation and Jr. NBA India Inspire Youth to Play program. For 2016, Coach Richie currently has camps scheduled in Cefalu,Italy and Guntur, India.

Jacquelyn Boulware

Jacquelyn Boulware,  a retired teacher with over 30 years teaching experience at the elementary school and  college level, is an educational consultant and honorary board member of All Stars ABC.  Jacquelyn advices and assists in developing, implementing, and evaluating academic programs and activities (including tutoring). She was an elementary school administrator, math and reading leader, and ESOL teacher for Spanish and Haitian Creole speakers. Although retired from active teaching Jacquelyn is still Florida certified in Elementary Education and Media. In addition Jacquelyn holds a Bachelor of Elementary Education from the University of the Virgin Islands, a Master of Education from Harvard University School of Education in Administration, Planning, and Social Policy, a Master of Education from Stayer University in Leadership Education, and is currently completing requirements for a PhD in Education Curriculum and Teaching from Northcentral University.

 

Jacquelyn grew up as and ‘Army Brat’ residing in Germany, Oklahoma, Texas, and the United States Virgin Islands (St. Croix). She has taught in Massachusetts, U.S. Virgin Islands, and Florida. Jacquelyn matriculated for two years at the Harvard University School of Divinity towards a Master of Divinity as a result she is always preaching or teaching about education for all. Jacquelyn’s passion in education focuses on Value Creating, education that creates value in all areas of life.

 

Jacquelyn is the mother of seven children and the grandmother of seven grandchildren and resides in Ft. Pierce, Florida.

Sydney Haydel

Biography

 

Sydney Haydel is a former American basketball player who is now using her knowledge of the game to teach students around the world. She began her basketball career as a child and because of her diligent practice and work ethic she played an essential role in Harvard Westlake School winning two CIF Championships as well as their first Girl’s CIF State Championship in school history. Her talents earned her a four year scholarship to the University of Hawaii where she held a three year starting position and earned the 2013 Big West Defensive Player of the Year honor. She excelled academically earning academic honors during each of her four years at the university and graduated with a B.S in Finance.

 

Her first opportunity to coach on a professional level came in 2013 when she traveled to China to coach at the NBA/CBA Basketball School in Dongguan. In Dongguan she learned valuable coaching skills and realized that coaching students overseas was her passion. Upon graduation, an opportunity with the Jr. NBA in India presented itself and she took full advantage. She spent two months in Kottayam, Kerala, India where she served as a head coach and acquired hands on experience coaching over 500 students daily.

 

Coach Haydel is the west coast director of All Stars ABC™ Youth Sports Basketball & Tutoring. Haydel has the ability to coach professional level players and beginners with the same sense of positivity, professionalism, and patience. She finds ways to connect with students and players to increase their ability to learn and retain information. Her passion for teaching basketball is evident every time she steps on the court.

 

Aside from coaching, Haydel has started a charity to help provide athletic shoes for children around the world. She believes that you have to give students the proper tools if you want them to learn. For 2015, Coach Sydney currently has a camp scheduled in Togo, Africa.

Biography

 

Coach Matt Rivera is a proud member of the City of Kissimmee. Coach Rivera has been in law enforcement for over 10 years and has been an Officer with Kissimmee Police Department for over 2 years. Prior to that, Coach Rivera was a Deputy Sheriff for 8 years with the Osceola County Sheriff’s Office. Coach Rivera has recently earned his Associates Degree in Criminal Justice from Valencia College. Coach Rivera currently coaches his kids as a youth soccer coach for St. Cloud Soccer League. His passion is to be out on the fields with his kids while teaching other kids the importance of organized sports.
 

Coach Rivera first started coaching while stationed overseas serving in the United States Air Force.  He coached young kids in basketball and soccer. He also was a part of the Ramstein AFB base soccer team which he was able to travel throughout Germany and England playing soccer while representing the Air Force.

Coach Rivera grew up in California playing all sports but found soccer was his go to sport. He played at recreational levels as a kid and worked his way to the Olympic Development Program in his region. Coach Rivera is a licensed coach with U.S. Soccer Federation and is currently working towards his next level license.


Coach Rivera will be an active member of the All Stars Are Bright organization as Director of Soccer program. He will be using his experience and passion as a mentor to serve the community. Coach Rivera has a strong desire to use soccer as a platform for strengthening community ties and keeping kids off the streets.  He plans on using his position as a police officer to encourage positive interaction between law enforcement and the community they serve
